ASK ERIC A QUESTION:
Katie asks – Are you single or are you married….do you have a facebook page?
I'm single. My facebook page is
here
Susan asks –Do you miss anything about playing smaller club shows now that you’re touring with Kelly Clarkson and playing big arenas?
I love playing all different types of venues. The small shows are fun and intimate and the crowd can be a little more attentive. The larger venues are exciting and it feels amazing to have a huge crowd singing along to my songs.
Debra asks – Does Perez Hilton have a favorite song on your new album?
Not sure. He's been really supportive of the whole album which has been great.
John asks – Yankees or Phillies?
I prefer the Baltimore Orioles actually but I'm not sure they'll be in the World Series for a while.
Heather asks – Do still get excited when you hear your songs on the radio?
I almost never hear them for myself! I always get texts and phone calls from friends and family but I always seem to miss it. I went to Australia for some shows earlier this year and actually heard my song a lot which was very surreal.
Emily asks - When does your next album come out?
Hopefully soon! I've been writing new songs and testing them out on the road.
Stevie asks – How old are you?
Old enough to know better.
Stevie asks - Have you met David Cook?
No, but I'm on tour with Kelly Clarkson right now.
Stevie asks - Would you ever consider moving to Minnesota?
Sure! Love the Twin Cities and some of my band members live there.
Q: What’s “OK, It’s Alright With Me” about?
This song is about learning to live in the moment and not worry about what's coming around the bend. Something I'm always trying to work on doing better.
Q: What is your favorite show you’ve played in Minneapolis so far?
It's hard to beat the Minnesota State Fair show we did this summer. We were supposed to open for Kelly Clarkson, but she got sick and had to cancel at the last minute. So we got to play a full headlining set and the crowd couldn't have been nicer. It was awesome!
Q: What was the most outrageous food you tried at the Minnesota State Fair? Did you like it?
The spaghetti and meatballs on a stick. Let's just say I won't be trying them again.
Q: What is the strangest question someone has asked you in an interview?
Someone asked me how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop. (The answer is 3).
Q: You blogged about the “Best Steak House” while driving by it in St. Paul during one of your visits here. What are some other funny things you’ve seen on the road?
I come across crazy things everyday while I'm out on the road. The other day I saw a sign that said "All You Can Eat Sushi". That's always a bad idea!
Q: When you’re on the road all the time, you must find yourself waiting a lot at airports, backstage, etc. What do you do to keep yourself entertained?
LOTS of waiting around. The tough part is it's always JUST enough time to be bored but never enough time to actually go anywhere or do anything cool. At any minute it might be time to board the plane or start soundcheck. I'm trying to get more into reading but I usually just end up on the internet looking at my fantasy basketball account.
Q: Current favorites on your iPod?
Vampire Weekend, The Shins, Kanye West, Patsy Cline and Nina Simone
