Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to all affected by Sunday’s tragic event in Las Vegas.
Volunteer blood donors are needed each and every day to help save lives. This tragedy illustrates that it’s the blood already on the shelves that help during an emergency and that emergencies can happen in any community at any time.
Please join KS95’s Crisco, Dez, Ryan & Rudy and the American Red Cross on Friday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rosedale Center (parking lot near AMC Theatre; off of Highway 36 and Snelling Avenue) to donate blood and bring awareness to the importance of blood donation and help ensure our community is prepared for any blood needs.
Click here to set up an appointment in advance. Appointments encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. When you get to the registration site, you’ll need to set up an account before making an appointment.
You can also download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) and use sponsor code KS95 to make an appointment or for more information.
Blood donors can save time by using RapidPass to complete their pre-donation reading and health history questionnaire online, on the day of their donation, from a computer or mobile device. To get started and learn more, visit redcrossblood.org/RapidPass and follow the instructions on the site.
