Avril Lavigne was spotted getting very touchy-feely with a female companion over the weekend as she soaked up the sun on the beach.

The 27-year-old singer - who is enjoying a sunshine break with pals in Mexico - put on a tactile show with the brunette on Friday, hugging her and even snuggling up together on their lounger.

Avril is newly-single following her split from boyfriend Brody Jenner back in January.
