Not only did Katy Perry & Rihanna both get mad love from MTV with the most VMA nominations (along with Drake) BUT they tie for the top Billboard spot too!!!  Its a bog week for the besties!

Katy has secured herself a record ONLY shared by Rihanna!!!

With Miz Perry's hit "Wide Awake" reaching#1 on the Billboard charts, she becomes one of only two females who have garnered nine #1s! 

I'll drink to that!  haha!  That is freakin amazing!!!!

On to the MTV Video Music Awards...

Drake and Rihanna led the field with five nods each.

Katy Perry & Rihanna have both been nominated for Video of the Year with her video!!!  Katy for "Wide Awake" and Rihanna for "We Found Love".  

Katy Perry landed four noms, while Coldplay, M.I.A., Jay-Z, and Kanye and newcomer Frank Ocean scored three each.

Who got the snub? Lady Gaga!!!!  She got zero, zip, ziltch! 

The VMA's will rock our TV screens on Sept. 6 and will feature live performances by Alicia Keys and One Direction.
