We ALL know the kinds of pressure that can be put on the atheletes at the Olympic games.

You're whole country is depending on you to bring home the Gold!  Oh the Pride!  The years of bragging rights when you win...

It can be SO much pressure!  THIS year a COUPLE of people have been THROWN OUT of the Olympics for cheating!

Gymnastics?! No.  Track and Field?!  No.  Water Polo?!  NO!

Badminton!! 

WHAT?!

OH yeah.  The game we used to play in our backyards, but it was so boring you ended up just hitting the 'birdie' (as we called it) up in the air to see how High we could get it until one smark alec would hit it in a tree or on the roof...

THIS year the Great Badminton fix is in. 

First of all, I thought it was Badmitton.  Never knew there was an 'N' in there! 

Ok, here are the details.

Australian team coach Lasse Bundgaard complained to the sports governing body and urged it to take action after farcical scenes on the badminton courts at Wembley on Tuesday night when China's top seeds blatantly played to lose against a Korean pair, who then also appeared to stop trying.

Players in two matches were booed off court by disgusted spectators after they appeared to deliberately serve into the net or hit the shuttlecock long or wide.

It seemed to be an attempt to manipulate the final standings in the first-round group stage with two pairs who had already qualified from the group stage jockeying to play weaker opponents.

Oh the Badminton world will neve be the same after this one!

In 2016, let's just eliminate this 'sport' and bring back something TRULY exciting...
