After 7 long, funny, strange, uncomfortable, seasons, A&E has put the axe to Gene Simmons and his Family Jewels.

If you've watched the show, you fell in love with the kids, Nick and Sophie.  You liked Shannon enough to wonder why she's stayed with Gene all these years.

You, at times, even got a glimpse into the softer side of Gene.  A man who adores his kids.  Tearing up even at times at his pride.

You also saw the reality, although probably only the tip of the proverbial Iceburg, of his rock-n-roll lifestyle and past. 

Which, as always, came back to bite him in the butt.
