Check out how Twin Cities native, Chad Clay, creatively proposed to his girlfriend!
"Among Chad Clay's questions to Vy Luong at a St. Paul party the day after they met were: 'Would you like to see my comic book collection?'
Six years later, when Clay wanted to propose to Luong, he continued his geeky ways. He popped the question in the form of a mock Apple iPhone TV spot backed by music he wrote and slick video shot by his brother.
He wasn't about to show the wedding-proposal video on a TV or laptop, though. He managed to premiere it Sept. 5 on the big screen at the movie theater where he and Luong had their first movie date - for 'Spider-Man 2' - in 2004.
The iProposal sequence has become a modest hit on the Internet, logging nearly 300,000 views on YouTube and appearing on the Yahoo, MSN and MSNBC home pages in the past week.
While not quite in the league of the legendary "JK Wedding Entrance Dance Song" (you know the one, also made in Minnesota) with more than 56 million YouTube views and scads of imitators, Clay's video nails the look and feel of Apple's iPhone TV spots..."
