Two pumpkins covered with snow for a cold Halloween night
Could there be a white Halloween in some parts of the country? In order for that to happen, there has to be at least one inch of snow on the ground the morning of October 31. Here’s where that could happen:
- Denver
- Northwest Wyoming
- Alaska
Parts of the Washington and Oregon Cascades, northern Plains, northern Minnesota and the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan have 10 to 25 percent chance of a white Halloween. Where has it never happened before? The South and lower Southwest.
