How Minnesotans can support the people of UIkraine (1)

As the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues to unfold, a humanitarian crisis has taken shape with over 500,000 Ukrainian people already displaced. Civilians have had to take refuge in bomb shelters, subway stations and have been forced to flee their homes throughout the entire country. As the world witnesses these events on social media and TV, it’s natural to seek out ways to support Ukraine.

Here is a short list of organizations that are taking donations and asking for assistance. Donations can be made through the links to their websites or via social media pages.

UNICEF supports health, nutrituion, HIV prevention, education, drinking water, sanitation and protection for the children and families caught in the conflict.

Doctors Without Borders <- click here

Doctors Without Borders has a history of working with local volunteers, organizations and health care professionals around the world to offer health services to those in need. There mission is no different for the Ukrainian conflict.

The voices of Children Foundation has been supporting Ukrainian children since 2015 and provide psychological and psychosocial support.

UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) <- click here

This international organization provides emergency assistance to families in Ukraine. This includes cash assistance and resettlement opportunities in the U.S.
