Yesterday’s Video Music Awards was a star studded and exuberantly creative evening. With huge performances from today’s biggest acts in pop, RnB, Hip-hop and indie music stealing the show throughout the night. We’ve gathered some of the biggest performances for you to check out if you missed the event.

Doja Cat Goes AIRBORNE!

Doja Cat’s performance of “Been Like This & “You Right” started off with her suspended 30 feet in the air with a large LED light ring surrounding her. Known for her funny and outrageous performances, fans were curious to see how these songs with deeper themes would be perceived. Nevertheless, Doja went up there, did her thing, and everyone loved it.

Busta Rhymes and Spliff Star Get the Place ROCKIN’

As if Busta Rhymes presence isn’t enough in itself, he brought out MC Spliff Starr for his gigantic 7 minute performance. The performance included versions of his tracks “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See,” “Scenario,” “Touch It,” “Pass The Courvoisier,” and “Look At Me Now”. At the age of 49, Busta is still….busting it.🙌

Ed Sheeran’s Bad Habits Get People Moving💃🏾

Sheeran’s most recent hit is a mix of acoustic pop and house music that describes all of the bad habits we let control us during those late nights out. Performed on an outdoor stage with the lights of NYC in the background, the setting was a fantastic backdrop to a groovy smash hit from the British singer/songwriter.

Lil Nas X Makes a Statement With Jack Harlow

Lil Nas X is not one to fear the spotlight, especially when it’s pointed directly at him and the life he lives. While this performance will border the lines of NSFW for some, much of the sensual performance is an obvious statement regarding the views of black, gay men in the pop/hip-hop music worlds.

The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber Turn The Stage Into a Dreamy Wonderland

If you haven’t heard “Stay” on TikTok, Instagram or any number of other social platforms yet, you may be living under a rock. “Stay” has become a true smash hit on social media, being popularly used in short content videos. The stage was washed in dreamy purples, pinks and blues which placed us in a dreamlike dessert as we listened to a pop veteran and up-and-comer share the stage for 2 songs that have inspired fans across the world.
