Washington’s WUSA 9’s SkyCam recently captured video of the Washington Monument being struck by a powerful bolt of lightning! Because the Washington Monument is basically a man-made lightning rod these lightning strikes are fairly common; however, it doesn’t make them any less exciting to watch! Watch the clip below:
